Privacy Policy
PromoAIs turns a website URL into an animated promo video. This policy explains what we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from your identity provider.
- Content you submit. The website URLs, text, and any media you provide so we can generate a promo.
- Generated projects. The scenes, images, audio, and video we produce for you, stored so you can return to and re-render them.
- Technical data. Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps, and requested pages — kept for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To generate, store, and render your promos.
- To authenticate you and keep your projects associated with your account.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
Third parties
Generating a promo involves third-party providers — including AI model providers for text, image, and audio generation, and our hosting provider. Content you submit may be sent to these providers solely to produce your promo. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content for advertising.
Connecting PromoAIs to ChatGPT or Claude
PromoAIs can be connected to AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude as a connector (an MCP server). If you connect it, the following applies in addition to everything above.
- You authorise the connection explicitly. The assistant sends you to our sign-in page, where you approve the connection on a consent screen. We never receive your credentials for the assistant, and the assistant never receives your PromoAIs password — there isn't one; sign-in is handled by your identity provider.
- What the assistant can do. Once connected, it can start a promo, check the progress of a promo, and analyse a website URL you give it. It cannot read your other projects, your account settings, or anything else in your account.
- What crosses the boundary. The URL or product description you ask for is sent from the assistant to us, and we return a status and a link to the finished promo. Your promos are stored in your PromoAIs account, exactly as if you had made them on the website — the two are the same account and the same project list.
- What the assistant's operator sees. Your conversation with ChatGPT or Claude — including what you asked us to make — is also handled by that operator under their privacy policy, which we do not control.
- Access tokens. We store only what is needed to verify that a request genuinely comes from your authorised connection. You can disconnect at any time from the assistant's own connector settings, which immediately revokes its access.
Public projects
Projects you mark as public may be shown in the public gallery. Everything else stays private to your account.
Retention
We keep your account and projects for as long as your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your projects and personal data, except where we are required to keep records by law.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for sign-in sessions and interface preferences such as your theme. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
